Bronson, Evans, Robson Quintet

colours and solo strength unmatched by any other group in the country.' One of Australia's foremost music ensembles, the Australian Art Orchestra's repertoire crosses the divide between traditional orchestra composition and improvised jazz performance. Since its inception in 1994, the Australian Art Orchestra under the direction of Paul Grabowsky, has developed a well-respected identity for their appreciation of the vitality of improvisation and has become a platform for many of the finest 'spontaneous composers' in Australia. Sandy has been a member of the AAO since 1995 and has toured internationally with them and written several major works for the ensemble - Testimony and Feast And Lament For The Warrior Queen. For more information go to www.aao.com.au > Sandy was a founding member of the ten piece ensemble Ten Part Invention at their premiere performance at the 1986 Adelaide Festival of the Arts. Since then the ensemble has gone on to become widely accepted as Australia's most innovative and exciting contemporary jazz large ensemble, winning several awards and touring both nationally and internationally. Sandy is a Co-Musical Director and has contributed a large body of compositions to the group's repertoire. Ten Part Invention has been invited to perform at the Chicago Jazz Festival in September 2004.
